I am 15 years into orthodontic practice ownership, I figure about in the middle of my career. As I reflect and imagine how I want my second act to unfold, I realize I want to pivot the trajectory of my practices to achieve more life balance. As my practice has grown, it is clear I have become the rate limiting element in clinic and in administration. I know that EPIC4 is the perfect solution to allow me to indulge and enjoy all the stuff I love about ortho, yet feel support for the administration. With this support inside my practice, this will allow me more time to spend with my kids, my husband, my friends and family.
I was the first high school female pole vaulter in Pennsylvania.
Dr McCormick is a second-generation orthodontist. She attended Middlebury College in Vermont to study both biology and psychology. She was also on the track team and ran the 400m and 800m and threw the javelin. After graduating in 1998, she and her now husband, Francois, drove across the country camping and visiting friends, eventually landing in Canada (where Francois is from) and lived in Montreal for 2 years where she learned to speak French. In 2001, she was accepted into dental school. She graduated from Temple Dental School in 2005, then moved to the other side of Philly to attend the University of Pennsylvania to complete her orthodontic training in 2008. She was fortunate to practice for a year with Dr. Robert "Slick" Vanarsdall prior to entering private practice with her father in Southeastern, Pennsylvania. Dr. McCormick has lectured and consulted on Organizational Psychology and Systemization of Culture in the domain of orthodontic practice.
