Liz Loutzenhiser Bio
Liz Loutzenhiser is the Controller for EPIC4 Specialty Partners. Prior to EPIC4, Liz was the Director of Finance for both the City of Scottsbluff and the City of Gering, overseeing approximately $200 million in assets, all Treasury functions, budget creation, reporting and monitoring, investment management, utility billing, Federal and State grant administration, reporting and compliance, debt issuance and oversight and financial reporting including monthly budget and Treasury reporting and year-end full accrual government-wide financial statements. Liz began her career in public accounting as a partner/shareholder in a regional public accounting firm where she had a client base of tax, bookkeeping and payroll clients and was also an auditor of for profit, non-profit/governmental entities and employee benefit plans.
Liz is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Nebraska and holds an active Permit to Practice. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants (NESCPA), the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Great Plains Government Finance Officers Association (GPGFOA). She is a graduate of the Leadership Scottsbluff and Leadership Nebraska programs and served as a Governor appointed board member of the Nebraska Power Review Board. Liz has held various local board and committee positions during her time in the Scottsbluff/Gering area and was a City Council member for the City of Scottsbluff prior to her employment with the City. Liz received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and is originally from Omaha. Liz enjoys traveling, reading and biking with her husband and children and spending time with friends and family.
