An opportunity presented itself to be part of something special with a group of people that I not only trust and admire, but are also also great business people, clinicians and friends. We have all been fortunate to be a general member or board members of the Schulman Study group for many years. With the continued change in the landscape of Orthodontics and dental specialties as a whole, the ability to be in on the creation and development of my own future with these amazing people was the path I was looking for.
I was a Division 1 women's basketball point guard at Loyola Marymount University and met my baseball player husband in the training room rehabbing our injuries.
Dr. Christy Fortney is a San Diego native and a second-generation dentist. She received her DDS degree in 1998 from Northwestern University and completed her dental training in Orthodontics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.. In 2006, Dr. Fortney became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
